Single-Use Packaging

Cost-effective packaging solutions optimised for high volumes, for when the packaging does not come back.

Single-use packaging is the right choice when the product leaves Europe, when it is a service shipment, or when it travels so far that returning the packaging is uneconomical. We optimise these solutions for high volumes: the goal is a low unit price, reliable product protection and fast, continuous production capacity.

When Is Single-Use Packaging the Right Choice?

Export Shipments

The product leaves Europe. For overseas or long-distance shipping, returning the packaging is not economical.

Service Packaging

Spare parts and service shipments, where the packaging stays with the end user.

High Volumes

Continuous, high-volume production where the lowest unit cost is the objective.

Simple Logistics

No collection, tracking or cleaning required. The packaging is recycled at its destination.

Typical Solutions

Thin-walled thermoformed trays

0.5-1 mm wall thickness in PS, PET or APET. Optimised for series production, with low tooling cost.

Cardboard box with insert

Corrugated cardboard box with foam film, EPS or EPE insert: the classic, cost-effective solution.

Foam inserts

Custom inserts made from EPS, EPE or technical foams by CNC machining or die cutting.

Wooden packaging

Wooden crates and cases for export shipments, available in ISPM-15 heat-treated versions.

When Do We Recommend Single-Use Packaging?

A single-use solution is economical when the product leaves Europe, is destined for service purposes, or is shipped so far from the point of manufacture that returning the packaging material does not pay off. We typically work with thermoformed trays of 0.5-1 mm wall thickness and cardboard boxes, produced in continuous volumes.

Export shipments

To target markets outside Europe, where the cost of return transport exceeds the price of new packaging.

Service purposes

Spare part supply and service shipments, packed in small quantities but on a regular basis.

Long distances

Also within Hungary, where manufacturing and use are so far apart that returning the packaging is not worthwhile.

Not sure single-use is the best choice?

For regular shipments within Europe, returnable packaging is far more economical over time. We will help you work out which model pays off in your case.
