Vacuum Forming (Thermoforming)
On six ILLIG thermoforming machines we produce logistics trays, transport inserts and product protection elements from PS, ABS, HIPS, PET, APET, HDPE and PP, in both standard and ESD versions.

When Do You Need This?
Logistics Trays
Orderly transport and storage of components along the production line.
Protective Inserts
Protection for sensitive electronic or mechanical components.
ESD Protection
Protection against electrostatic discharge for electronic components.
Built-In Components
Refrigerator interior parts and other built-in plastic components.
What We Offer
Thin-walled (0.5-1 mm) single-use and thick-walled (2-6 mm) returnable solutions, in short and high-volume runs alike.

ESD PS
Protection against electrostatic discharge, for specialised applications in the electronics and semiconductor industries.
PS
A versatile, cost-effective base material, suitable for both single-use and returnable trays.
ABS
Excellent mechanical properties: impact resistant, rigid, high heat resistance. For demanding automotive applications.
ABS-TPU
A flexible and hard-wearing combination, where the rigidity of ABS and the flexibility of TPU are both required.
PET / APET
Light, durable and recyclable. Available transparent or pigmented, suitable for food industry use as well.
HDPE
Impact resistant and chemically resistant. For durable returnable systems and the chemical industry.
Applications
Single-use logistics trays
Trays of 0.5-1 mm wall thickness for continuous production volumes, used for export, service purposes or long-distance shipping where returning the packaging is not economical.
Returnable logistics trays
Durable trays with a service life of several years, for regular shipments within Europe. A higher initial investment, but minimal operating cost over the long term.
ESD protected trays
Antistatic or conductive versions for electronic components, where protection against electrostatic discharge is critical.
Built-in short-run products
Covers, masking elements and custom-developed products, even in small batches. From prototype through to production.
